Mercy Guitars

A.K.A. Mercy's Mobile Guitar Shop

Mercy Guitars is a (primarily) mobile guitar shop based out of Raleigh, NC, specializing in incredible setups founded by us, Quinn (pictured) and Julia, and our two cats, Church and Mercy (pictured)!

I (Quinn) serve as our guitar tech. I've been playing and working on my own guitars and basses for the last 8 years. I first got into learning to play guitar through hard rock and metal, specifically "Hail to the King" by Avenged Sevenfold. I borrowed my brother's gear until I had saved up enough money to buy one of my own, and from there I was hooked!

My reasoning for opening Mercy Guitars is that many run-of-the-mill repair shops have long turnaround times paired with, much of the time, being far away from where you live. My goal is to meet you where you are, offering free pick-up and delivery within Wake County and, when possible, day-of services so you spend less time without an instrument in your hand!

I first got this idea because of a close friend of mine who I got into the hobby. After using some of my spare gear to learn the basics, he wanted a guitar of his own which he ordered online. Once the guitar arrived, he immediately began playing every single day - dedication that's to be admired! However, when I got the opportunity to try it out it was exceptionally difficult to play, which is the last thing a beginner guitarist should deal with. He found a shop that could work on it (this was before I was comfortable doing work on others' gear), it was an hour round trip and almost a two-week wait! To an enthusiastic player, this was an eternity. 

My goal is to provide quality service with no compromises on time, which is why we offer mobile, day-of service to anybody in Wake County. We take our shop to you to get you playing as soon as we can.
