What services do you currently offer?

We specialize in basic setup work for electric guitars
We offer restringing services for all types of guitars, including electric guitars, electric basses, and acoustic guitars. We do not currently offer services for nylon-string instruments

Services:

Standard Setup (Pickup/Drop-off): For most setups, or if extensive time is required, we offer complimentary pickup and drop-off. We perform the setup work off-site and return your guitar within 1-3 business days.
On-Site Setup (When Available): If time allows in both of our schedules and the guitar doesn't present severe issues (e.g., heavily seized truss rod, major neck adjustment), we can perform the basic setup right at your location. Please request this option when booking.
Restrings: Restrings are always performed on-site! We will travel to your location within Wake County and perform the service right there.

What is included in a "basic setup"?

Our basic setup for electric guitars typically include the following to keep your instrument in tip-top shape!

Truss rod adjustment (neck relief)
Setting action (string height) at the bridge
Setting intonation (how in-tune the instrument is across the fretboard)
Fret polish
Cleaning and conditioning the fretboard and body
A new set of strings (added at-cost)

Setups are generally recommended every 6 to 12 months.

How long do your services usually take?

Service times are entirely dependent on the instrument, but our typical times are:

Standard setups (Pick-Up/Drop-Off): 1 to 3 business days
On-Site Setups: 45 to 90 minutes
Restrings: 15 to 30 minutes

Do you offer services like fret leveling, electronic repair, or major repairs?

Currently, we do not offer services such as fret leveling/crowning, stripped truss rod repair, electronic repair, body work, or major structural repairs. As our shop expands, we hope to provide these services in the future.

Do I need to provide my own strings?

That's entirely up to you! You may provide your own preferred set of strings, or we can provide a standard set for an additional charge. Please let us know your string and tuning preferences when booking the service, especially for an extended-range instrument (e.g., 7-string guitars, 5-string basses, etc.).

Where do you travel for service?

We offer complimentary pickup and drop-off services for all setup work anywhere within Wake County, North Carolina.

How do I book a service?

You have a couple options: (1) the Booking page on our website or (2) by emailing contact@mercyguitars.com with all details included regarding the type of service you're requesting, the style of guitar, string type, tuning, etc.

For us to deliver the quickest and best service possible, please include the following:

- Instrument Type (electric/acoustic guitar/bass)
